The Dhargyey Buddhist Centre

The Dhargyey Buddhist Centre was established in Dunedin, Aotearoa New Zealand, in 1984 as a charitable trust, with instruction from His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama, and under the spiritual guidance of Geshe Ngawang Dhargyey - one of the most highly qualified Gelug lamas of his time. The main function of the Dhargyey Buddhist Centre is to encourage harmony and unity through the sharing of Buddhist philosophy. Sunday Teachings are available to anybody who is interested – free of charge. All are welcome!

Geshe Lobsang Dhonye is our Resident Teacher, and we invite everyone in Dunedin to come to his teachings and for people across the world to access them on zoom. ! He provides great insight into the roots of spiritual practice for all people.
