We are pleased to be able to announce that now that we are in Level 2 the DBC is open for teachings and our usual Buddhist gatherings. We ask that anybody visiting the Centre used the covid tracer app and signs in to trace if necessary and continues to be vigilant with hand hygiene and that if you feel unwell at all, you avoid coming to the Centre please.
Our teaching programme will recommence on Sunday the 28th June 2020 at 11am. Geshe-la will be giving introductory teachings and meditation instruction.
Thursday classes will commence on Thursday 9th July 2020 at 7:30pm with Geshe-la

Regular Teachings for 2020 recommencing 28th June and 9th July
Sunday classes taught by Geshe-la provide a general overview of the Buddhist world view, alongside meditation instruction and Q&A sessions.
Geshe-la is teaching the 37 practices of the Bodhisattva. Teachings include an explanation of the short text, meditation instruction and Q&A sessions.

THIS COURSE IS NOW FULL - PLEASE KEEP AN EYE OPEN FOR NEXT YEARS AND FEEL FREE TO COME TO TEACHINGS IN THE MEANTIME - EVERYONE IS WELCOME.
We run two courses of beginner's classes each year, each of 12 weeks duration, called "Introduction to Buddhism" on mainly Monday nights (subject to change due to other events at the centre such as Tsog). These courses require registration due to limited numbers per course and are advertised on our Facebook page with registration through Eventbrite.

Buddhist practice focuses on the perfection of generosity – one of six primary virtues – so we have structured the Centre to promote this virtue. There is no charge for the teachings and they are open to the public.
